Artwork Guidelines
To avoid delays and get the best finish on your customised workwear, please check your artwork against the guidelines below before sending it over.
Every file is checked by our design team before we start. If anything needs sorting, we'll be in touch to talk through your options before proceeding.
Why does artwork requirements matter? Not all files are created equal. Having the right artwork in the right format means:
- Sharper detail – Crisp, professional-looking embroidery and print.
- Faster turnaround – No delays due to artwork needing adjustments.
- Consistent branding – Your logo looks exactly how you envisioned, every time.
Good vs Bad File Upload Example
What to avoid:
- Photos of the logo already embroidered or printed on a garment. Fabric texture, stitching and shadows all get picked up, along with any fold or curve in the material.
- Screenshots or images pulled from a website, social media or a document. These are rarely high enough resolution and get blurrier the larger we need to print or stitch them.
- Small bitmap logos stretched up to a bigger size. Enlarging a low-res file does not improve the quality.
If your file looks blurry, pixelated or jagged on your screen, it'll look the same, or worse, on your garment. Send us the original, highest-resolution version you have and we'll take it from there.
Printing
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are the preferred file to be recived for printing.
Vector artwork holds its quality at any size. Zoom in and the edges stay sharp, unlike a bitmap, which turns blocky and pixelated the closer you get.
Every new artwork/logo upload requires a one-off Logo Vectorisation charge of £18 (exc VAT) to set the file up for print, whatever file you send us. Sending true vector artwork from the start still pays off: it keeps the detail sharp and accurate, and dosn't cause any delays in the process.
The file is kept on record, so reorders of the same file skip this fee.
Embroidery
High-res JPG, BMP, TIF, EPS or AI files are all accepted, as long as the resolution is high-quality enough to work from.
First time embroidering this logo with us? There's a one-off Logo Digitalisation charge of £18 (exc VAT) to convert your artwork into embroidery format.
Every artwork/logo upload requires digitising into a stitch file before an embroidery machine can sew it. It's still worth sending your cleanest, highest-resolution file: it gives us a more accurate stitch file to work from, so the embroidery comes out sharper with less back and forth.
Once it's digitised, we keep the file on record, so reorders of the same file skip this fee.
Before We Start
We'll send you a proof to check before anything goes into production. Nothing gets printed or stitched until you've approved it.
